🧬 ANA with Reflex — A Key Test for Autoimmune Screening
Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) with Reflex is a foundational blood test used to screen for autoimmune diseases, such as Lupus (SLE), Sjögren’s syndrome, scleroderma, and mixed connective tissue disorders.
The ANA test detects autoantibodies that target structures within the nucleus of your cells. If the ANA result is positive, the test automatically “reflexes” to more specific tests (like ENA panel, dsDNA, or pattern identification) to help pinpoint the exact autoimmune condition.
What It’s Used For:
-
Early detection of autoimmune diseases
-
Differentiating between types of autoimmune or connective tissue disorders
-
Identifying patterns of disease activity
