These conditions can often be asymptomatic!

• Chlamydia & Gonorrhea: These are two of the most common bacterial STDs. Testing is typically done using a urine sample or a swab (depending on exposure site). Both infections often cause no symptoms, but can lead to serious complications if left untreated. Results are usually available within a few days, and both are easily treated with antibiotics.

• Syphilis: A blood test checks for antibodies to the Treponema pallidum bacteria. Syphilis can progress through stages and cause serious complications if untreated, but it is highly treatable in early stages with antibiotics.

• HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus): A blood test screens for HIV antibodies and/or antigens. Early detection is crucial, as HIV can be managed effectively with modern antiviral therapies. Testing is fast, accurate, and key to protecting your long-term health.

• Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1 & HSV-2): If symptoms are present, a swab from a sore may be used. In asymptomatic or uncertain cases, a blood test can check for antibodies to HSV-1 (oral) and HSV-2 (genital). While herpes isn’t curable, knowing your status helps manage symptoms and reduce transmission risk.
